Currently on a break from his massive 180 date tour,
top comedian Peter Kay accepted an invitation from
The Dakotas to come to see the Solid Silver 60s show 2003 that was taking place at The Manchester Opera House on 14 May 2003.
The Dakotas had become friends with Peter through the work that they have done on Peters award winning comedy show " Phoenix nights".
Toni Baker has written all the music for the series including the ever popular "Bin bag song" and also starred himself as a member of a folk band called Half a Shilling that appeared in the first show(                                    ) of the first series.
Pete Hilton was also part of Half a Shilling and Pete like Mike Maxfield has played on the music used in the series.
Eddie Mooney sang the song "Don't cry out loud" that was used in the opening episode of the second series.

Having watched the opening half of the show, Peter Kay then kindly went on stage to introduce The Dakotas back on to the stage to start the second half.
Rather than a quick introduction,Peter treated the audience  to a short burst of his hilarious observations on life, before explaining how he got to know the Dakotas and then finally bringing the band onto the stage.
I didn't manage to take any photos of Peter on stage as i was busy  videoing him and unfortunately the file would be  too large to put onto                               for people to download. If you would like to see the video, then please contact me at
